Clinique launches New Vitamin C Lip Smoothie Antioxidant Lip Colour

/24-7/ -- Clinique is launching a new innovation in lip gloss to help protect and defend delicate lips. Bursting with antioxidant ingredients, Clinique introduces new Vitamin C Lip Smoothie Antioxidant Lip Colour, a healthy dose of luscious colour in six juicy shades, rich in moisture and shine, like an antioxidant fruit smoothie for the lips.

Combining the high shine and super moisturising aspects of a lip gloss with the rich, stay-true colour and buildable coverage of a lipstick, the beauty experts at Clinique have developed this revolutionary new lip product.

The new formulation has taken powerful, 'good for you' ingredients and squeezed them into a gorgeous, colourful lip product with treatment benefits. Over time lips become vulnerable to lines and wrinkles and can become thinner and drier while also losing some of their colour. This vitamin packed formula is enriched with a cocktail of ingredients, including the key antioxidants, Açaí Berry and Pomegranate to help protect against environmental aggressors and Vitamin C to improve the look and feel of lips instantly and over time. Whilst a decadent blend of rich butters such as Shea Butter provide comfort, moisture and soothing benefits and help put the smooth in to Lip Smoothie.

To finish the fresh, healthy look High Impact Curling Mascara can be applied, along with a Quick Blush to cheeks for a naturally blushed look.

New Vitamin C Lip Smoothie Antioxidant Lip Colour is available in six lip-quenching, yet water-resistant, juicy shades ranging from opaque to shimmery: Fig-a-licious, Raisin the Bar, Pink Me Up, Nude-tricious, Goodness Grapecious and Rhubarbie.

The new Vitamin C Lip Smoothie Antioxidant Lip Colour will be available at Clinique counters nationwide from 1 August 2009.

Go Ahead, Indulge! Investing In Yourself

(NAPSI)-In times of economic uncertainty, there is one thing you should always invest in…yourself!

A March 2009 survey conducted by Survey.com found that 80 percent of women said that when they look good, they feel good. So especially during hard economic times, women try to look their best, and 79 percent said using beauty products is a way to pamper themselves without spending a lot of money.

Celebrity stylist Hallie Bowman offers advice to help women outshine the recession by looking and feeling their best.

"Right now it is all about shiny, voluminous hair," says Bowman. "The sharp and defiant shapes of past seasons have now transitioned into full waves and soft, bouncy bends."

Hallie's Tips to Get the Look...

• Start with clean, freshly shampooed and conditioned hair. Hallie recommends using products from the Pantene Pro-V Full & Thick collection because they protect hair against damage and help create fullness at the roots by reviving limp strands for a full, healthy look.

• Spray a root-lifter gel into wet roots before blow-drying.

• While blow-drying, periodically flip your head forward to help create fullness. While your head is forward, give your roots a shot of cool air to really amp up the volume.

• After drying each section, while hair is still warm, set hair into Velcro rollers.

• Once all hair has been set, keep rollers in for at least 10 minutes.

• Remove rollers and brush hair from roots to ends.

• To polish off the look, apply a smoothing serum from midshaft to tips for a healthy shine.

When you don't have money to invest in a new outfit, a new hairstyle is the perfect way to indulge! This look can upgrade even the most casual of outfits, leaving you looking put-together and feeling beautiful.

Start The School Year Right With A Fresh Face

(NAPSI)-Let's face facts. As millions of teenagers get ready to head back to school, they may be hoping for the same thing: a fresh start and a fresh face.

Unfortunately, almost all teenagers experience at least an occasional whitehead, blackhead or pimple. Research shows stress from breakouts, coupled with the stress of returning to school, can have profound psychological effects on teenage acne patients. In fact, the recent Skin Matters Survey, conducted by Harris Interactive, found that 70 percent of teenagers feel pressure to have clear skin, and 60 percent of teenage girls think acne negatively affects their self-confidence.

Despite the availability of improved, effective acne treatments, teens continue to suffer from the negative impact that acne can have on social relationships and quality of life. The same survey determined less than half of teens (44 percent) feel knowledgeable about skin care and only 14 percent of teens with acne have seen a dermatologist specifically for their acne.

For teens, getting rid of embarrassing acne can be just as time consuming as picking out an outfit for the first day of school, so it's important to know how to avoid that breakout before it happens, and what to do if it does.

Acne is unique to every individual. The good news is that today, there are many effective treatments that can help clear up virtually every type of acne and prevent new breakouts, so it's important to visit a dermatologist who can collaborate with you on a targeted skin care regimen. This regimen may include a prescription-strength treatment, such as a topical retinoid, which goes deep down to unclog pores and prevent breakouts. Retin-A Micro is the only acne medication with patented microspheres that contain tretinoin, the No. 1 prescribed retinoid by dermatologists. Microspheres help absorb excess oil, reduce facial shine and protect against irritation. Available in a unique and sleek pump, Retin-A Micro Pump delivers a consistent amount of medication with each use, making treatment easy. For full prescribing information, visit www.RetinAMicro.com.
